Obviously, life has become a little on the busy side with everything being back to school brings, and although it seems like a shock to the system at first, the transition back has been rather smooth!
The most fun we have had lately is watching Cameron try the game of football! He has been waiting until he was old enough to give it a try and this is the year!
I grew up only watching football because my brothers always had to be in charge of the remote and Torrey was a swimmer, so this is all new to us!
Practices started a few weeks before school(yes, it has taken me this long to actually post about it with only 2 weeks left of the season). The team(the Wolverines!) is young with 1st and 2nd graders mixed, we have yet to win a game and they have had to run quite a bit at practice learning to not talk when coach is talking! Through the heat, cold and rain, we have been proud of Cameron for working hard!
He.loves.it!
We are so happy that he has found something he truly enjoys and gets excited about. He has a lot to learn, but his determination and quick feet will hopefully keep his desire to play. And it has been SO fun to watch him run, tackle, get tackled and carry the ball! For this rough and tumble boy it's a chance to be tough on purpose and not get in trouble!
Here are some pics from the very first practices and games. With this whole sport realm now in the mix, I REALLY need a better camera to capture the action shots on the field!
Warming up.....when they first starting doing these the boys were NOT in any way shape or form together. Now, at least they all are bending to the same side. Most of the time maybe ;)
Arm crosses...kind of. Those pads do not leave much room for flexibility!
See his one sock already falling down?! heehee!
Jumping jacks. Ha!
Getting some conditioning in. Some are looking forward, some are looking off to the side and some are just taking their own sweet time walking while enjoying the show!
Game time! LOVE to see his number and name out there!
