Soaking It Up

Life has been life lately and I have simply been trying to soak up every minute of it.  Hence my lack of blog posts.  With this warm weather lately(LOVE the newness it brings to life and daily happenings) and the simple realization that my boys are getting bigger by the day, life has been occupied with other things than the computer.  And it needs to continue that way.  I need to remember to have my camera in hand more, but I did manage to capture a few moments as of late.

There are some days when this little one is a bit dramatic and I have been trying more to relish the days...which sounds weird, but I know that his baby days are soon well behind him. Well, okay, they really are behind him but I am not fully admitting that to myself yet.  One day he wanted to have on these red boots because he thought they were big like what his brother has.  Although he did not want to take off his jammies.  Then he tripped or got annoyed by something and he turned out looking like this....
Life is just sometimes rough for this little man.  Torrey and I just had to laugh.  And snap a picture.

This past Sunday the day was simply glorious and the boys decided they needed to soak up some rays out on the deck.  So cute.
I hope they will continue as they grow these sweet moments like this and talk to one another about anything and everything.  Well, more than likely mischievously planning some tricks!!

The other morning Cameron gave me a startle by walking into my bathroom as I was blow drying my hair bright and early before school.  Before I would have tried to get him to go back to sleep, but lately as the moments have come up, I have been purposeful at capturing this time with just him.  So, we had breakfast together and the rest of my morning quiet time consisted of listening to Cameron read me stories.  That made my heart happy, and him too!

For some reason.....

For some reason, whenever Daddy is in charge and Cameron gets the notion to paint, this is what happens....

paint on more things than the paper!!!

But doesn't this smile just melt your heart?!  Everyday I think this big guy gets bigger and bigger.  He just laughs and giggles when we talk to him about how big he is getting like he knows it's pretty cool and fun to grow up.  And it is!

And this is what we have been up to during Haiden's naps, Legos!  It has been so much fun spending time with Cameron making these little creations.
Notice the 2 in the background of the picture?!  Cameron was trying to keep Haiden away as we took these down to take a picture.  Another reason why this is a great nap time activity!
