Sundays

Aaaaaahhh, Sundays. I love waking up Sunday mornings and knowing that we can start our day without rushing or thinking about all we need to get done. To simply be a family, focus on only that and not getting this or that done or rushing off to run errands. Of course our day still starts at about 6:30 most times and that's okay.
So here is a glimpse of our life before heading out to church this beautiful Sunday.

Cameron starting the day just chillin'

Haiden being his content self playing

And me actually being able to sit down with a cup of coffee and spend time in the Word. The one thing that truly revives and strengthens me.
Last full week of school here I come ;)

New Toy

The other weekend we got a deck box to put our outdoor toys in. While I was out the boys decided to put it together. Photos courtesy of Cameron ;)

"Did you need to keep these parts organized daddy?"

"I think I am missing a few parts??"

So this was all done last weekend and now look what we STILL have in our living room and has become the newest and greatest toy! Cameron loves to put all the blankets and pillows in it and jump into it launching from the couch. He totally disappears when he lands in it because it is so deep. It actually has provided some funny laughs around here! Haiden likes to be in there because he has his brother captive to retaliate ;)

I love the smiley face Cameron has in this picture. True happiness and giggles.

The Greatest Gifts

There are many gifts that one could consider great. Sometimes the gifts can be big and other times quite little. For me, the greatest gifts that I can enjoy daily, constantly are surprising, gives back more than I seem to deserve at times and only I can have....my boys. God has, and continues, to provide me with more than I could ask or imagine. And He, the one true God and maker of all things good, entrusted me to two boys who I love in a way that is beyond words. A love that I never knew existed before I knew them and can't imagine my life without that love filling every fiber in me. Me. God chose me to be the mother of these two gifts that fill my prayers, thoughts, imaginations, hopes, joy, dreams and desires daily. A gift that makes me smile and laugh like non other and makes me feel complete.

smiles

These boys just make me smile....

Haiden was being silly while we were having our morning snack. Every time I would hold up the camera he would give me a cheesy grin ;)

this and that

Nothing really has happened lately except our daily routine. Because the weather has been nicer we have been going for little walks after supper or hanging out in the yard. Haiden has found a new love in the little motorized quad and has begun to throw some mini fits of frustration and not getting his way(I told him he better get over that soon!) And Cameron has been happy just to be outside and dirty. I don't think I will ever be able to get his socks clean or all the sand out of his shoes!
It's so cute to see his little finger push the button. Of course he has no concept of steering ;)

This one needs some repairs ;)
Not sure what happened to his shirt---but at least he has pants and shoes!

Haiden always has to try to fit IN things--no matter how small .

And here he is after he threw himself on the floor before church for the first time. Torrey and I just laughed at him and had to take a picture. It's just funny to see this side coming out in him(which we better not see too much of!) Where do they learn that?!

my life

I just have to laugh sometimes at where my life has taken me. Like this.....

HA! Who would have thought(definitely not Grandpa Roby!). I actually know how to shift this thing and am working on remembering how to start one on my own. With these boys(and Haiden already has a love for these) I guess I have to pull up my big girl pants and get used to living life a little dirty(next time I am the one in front!) We had a great night being outdoors and having the first hobo fire of the summer. Cameron found a little toad(that I finally got him to be okay with NOT bringing it in the house) and Haiden had fun going in and out of the little car. But as soon as he heard the 3-wheeler he made a bee line to get on. He has already cried when we have gotten off ;)
For these boys of mine, a little dirt makes life all that more interesting ;)

a late post and new decor

Well this is old news for most but in case you missed it...Haiden finally got a hair cut. He sat like such a big boy and got a lot of hair cut off the back and sides(I had snipped his bangs on Easter because it was poking him in the eyes!) These were the best pics I could get. I was trying to keep him from leaning over too far off the booster and shoving smarties in his mouth!

Handsome Little Man!!

And then there is this new decoration in our house. I was able to keep it out of the main living area and out of sight from visitors unless they are coming over to work out ;) BUT, you can see it from the road if the curtains are open. Sigh!! NEVER did I think I would have something like this in my house. I am thinking the finish the basement project needs to happen sooner than later to have a better spot for these prize winning trophies??!

It kind of looks like the bear is going to eat the deer!! At least we moved the treadmill so I don't have a deer AND a bear face right by my head.
